Hampstead Heath
Though the name Hampstead Heath somehow brings to mind annoyingly posh Londoners “taking the air” on the weekend, I decided to go because it’s a free green space that only costs a pound to get to, three of my favorite things. Expecting something like Regent’s Park, I was pleased to discover, other than the grassy heath itself covered in kite flying Brits, it is actually quite wild and woody. I don’t have much to say, but that it’s a beautiful place, the kind of place that can make you forget you’re in the city, and take you away to a weird fairy wood. I’ve been told there are swimming ponds here, and will have to go back to investigate. I have no comments on the pictures below, they’re as pleasantly quiet as the day was.
